Recently, some told me that the Dalai Lama once said, “all humans are trying to increase happiness while diminishing pain.” If that is the bottom line behind all of our actions and we are all striving for the same thing, then why is it so hard for us all to create a happy and painless environment?
“Your story - it’s not boring and ordinary. We just get the one life. Just one. And you can’t live someone else’s or think it’s more important because it’s more dramatic. What happens matters. Maybe only to us, but it matters.”—Tea Leoni to Ricky Gervais in Ghost Town (via juliaallison)
Most people who know me or read my blog know that I adore Nordstrom. Today they gave me another reason to love their stores. The purchases I made at the Nordstrom at Short Hills Mall need to be returned (sad I know) and I don’t have then time to trek out to a full on Nordstrom nor do I need to because they accept Nordstrom returns at the Rack in Union Square! In a crazy place like Manhattan you learn to treasure the little things. So, I’d like to thank Nordstrom for making my life easier!
