I’m not good with surprises. If you’ve done something in the past to surprise me then I’m sure that it’s no surprise to you that I suck at them. They catch me off guard and my natural reaction is always negative which ruins the surprise for the giver and myself.
I’m working on being more graceful, accepting and appreciative. My progress on this work is slow and almost at a stand still. I’m also working to develop a mental filter in hopes that I can trap my negative words before they fly out of my mouth.
To all of those who have attempted to surprise me with gifts and gestures of kindness please accept my dearest apologies. I love you all.
When I moved to New York City I never imagined that my hip hop world and my yoga world would collide. Those worlds came together beautifully in Megan’s classes at East Yoga. It wasn’t just that she played The Fugees during asana, but she also knew some of my friends and favorite mcs who I hold dear to my heart. East Yoga will never be the same as Megan moves on. Portland, consider yourself lucky, you’ve got a great yoga teacher coming your way.
I spent all of my birthday money at Nordstrom Rack and DSW in Cincinnati. Such a likely story. My parents know that it’s hard for me to spend my money but I find it easy to spend theirs. Gotta love parents.
